About Kristin

I began my homeschooling journey in 2009 when my oldest was about to enter kindergarten. I was pregnant with my fourth kiddo and had three other littles who were all still napping. Honestly, I was lazy. Well, perhaps more tired than lazy. I didn't want to wake everyone up to drop off and pick up my oldest from kindergarten. "For goodness sake, I was a high school English teacher: surely, I can teach this child to read," my exhausted brain cried. That's honestly why I started homeschooling. I didn't want to disturb nappers during the school commute. After that first year, I tried several times to jump ship on the S.S. Homeschool Life; however, the Lord kept bringing us back. Homeschooling has been a blessing to our family and one of the huge pros is the homeschooling community. I have met so many God-honoring, family-oriented people with similar purpose and vision for the lives of our children. I joined a co-op my first year and have been teaching classes through co-op ever since. In the past couple years, I have taught various CLEP and DSST classes in my home in addition to teaching at co-op. Now, I am expanding my services by offering live classes online. I am grateful for how God has guided our family in this journey, and I am excited to offer this partnership to the homeschool community at large. To God be the glory!
